Is FS25 open all the way the Columbia? I'll try a search.

Yep!

I can confirm "First Hand" that FS-25 is now open.

I rode it on the way home from Texasl's Chinook Pass Run about two weeks ago.

Because you could still walk after Skate Creek Road.

Well I wasn't pissing blood... so yeah.

And, since I didn't bend a rim hitting that nasty pot hole hiding in the shadows (on Skate Creek), it was "obviously" meant to be.

I'm going to have to take that route on the Inspector and see how it's different than taking it on Luigi. With the stiff suspension I know that I'm not going to rail it too much.

I'd love to go, but I have a 16:00 video conference with some folks in the Midwest.

Planning for a long day so leaving insanely early. From Randle picking up FS-23 South. Looking forward to riding 23's dirt stretch on the Dual Sport. From 23 will pickup 90 to 25 North to 99 and Windy Ridge. PM me your cell maybe we can meet up for coffee, (if needed I have extra masks for today's (Brave New Corona World).

I love riding down there. If you want to go sometime I'll hop on one of the Buell's and ride with you.

I was planning on leaving around 9ish myself, so I don't know if a link up would be practical, but I'll PM you my contact info just in case.

A word of caution. I don't know if you have been on those roads within the last two years (or not), but FS-90 had some major pot holes on it the past couple of years. I haven't been out that way since Oct 2017, and they were pretty bad then. I was able to get through them without any issue, by just putting around them slowly, but one of the Vancouver crowd, bent his front rim sometime during the summer of 2019. He said that based on my description, the pot holes had gotten worse and practically unavoidable. The pot holes were in the area just to the West of the FS-90/23 Road Jct (maybe within 5+ miles or so). Having said that, once your past them you shouldn't have too much of an issue as most of the road damage is usually in the East bound lane.

FeralRdr might have been referring to me. I bent my VFR rim slightly last year on one of those potholes. They can sneak up on you at a spirited pace! Oh, and I generally run about 32-35psi in the front so those of you that run lower pressures, beware.

Never question tire recommendations for the PSI. I run what they have in the FSM.
