Todays ride

Had to go to my mother in laws airport(Goheen airfield and aerosport aviation) on 279th in Battleground today so I decided to ride around east county a bit to kind of follow the old tour de clarque route that OVMC used to run yearly.Any one do that run? It was maybe 10 years ago for my wife and me.Four legs of roughly 25 miles each. Some of the usual sights like the grist mill and Lucia falls and little general type stores and gas stops. About 25 bikes total including a new beemer fore and tail runner. When we went our GS and a guys Z1 were definitely the fastest there but it was a slow easy pace thanks to a gaggle of 30s bikes. No problem. Overcast till later in the day we had the lightest of sprinkles starting which started about 2 miles before we had to make a 90 to the right. All these early Triumphs,BSA,BMWs were ahead of me and were hitting it hard up the slightly wet, slightly uphill rise.As they were throttling up my wife and I came around the corner and I followed suit. Wacked it hard and the front wheel started up. Looking down at the tach in 1st it was nearing 9K and wheel up 6 to 8 inches, and gaining fast on a 67 BSA so I had to back off. A little head shake when it touched down to remind me we were on a fun ride. It was overcast the rest of the way to the restaurant for food, door prizes,(I got gloves) and stories. Haven't read about this run since. Wonder what happened.
