I have been working a ridiculous number of hours for the entire summer. I finally have some time off. Meet at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Andresen near Padden Parkway.

KSU at 10am.

Cougar to Windy Ridge to Carson. The pace will be whatever this rusty bum can manage with a smile. I'll go alone if need be, but would love some company.

For those of you that haven't been; this route requires that your bike's range be at least 140 miles at the pace you wish to ride, or you must take a jog into Randle to fill up. I'm not planning on heading toward Randle.

Edit: The store/gas stop at Northwoods(?) may be open. I don't know.

The Store at Northwoods was open yesterday, and I believe fuel is still available.

The latest weather map shows precipitation heading east, towards Windy Ridge. Bummer. I'll show up for doughnuts in any case.

We decided to see how far we could go before it looked like it would be too damp. We decided that if it looked like it was going to be too wet, we could go to Trout Lake instead. In Cougar we met a couple who had just come down from there, and said that it was foggy and misty up in that area. We then made the final call to head to Trout Lake via FS-90/23. Do to time, we opted not to do a Klick run as well, so we ended up slabbing back on SR-14. With the exception of the road conditions on FS-90 and 23 it was an otherwise great day.

I did Vancouver/Carson/Cougar. Stopped at Backwoods brewing in Carson for some grub and then headed to Cougar. Right as I pulled into Cougar, it started raining. I parked in a relatively dry spot and went across the street to the restaurant and hung out until the massive downpour subsided. Got rained on a bit near Yacolt, but nothing too bad. All in all, a good ride and now I have 625 miles on the 10 so I will change the oil tonight and really start to abuse her.
