  .

Just a friendly bump.

Paving operations are now in full swing.

Oldmanriver and I, went out on a short recon run to Lower Falls Campground yesterday. Currently (as of 7/12), the paving operations are located in the Chelatchie Prairie area. Specifically, the West end flagger was located at the SR-503/Gerber-McKee Rd intersection, and the East end flagger was located at the Intersection with NE 266th Ave (next to the old paved turn out; a mile or so West of Chelatchie).

In and of itself, the paving project isn't really a big issue. However, add in the greater summer time traffic, and you get a real fun slow down. Potentially all the way up to Jack's Corner (where 503 turns west towards Woodland). We were fortunate enough to hit the West flagger, just as they let the traffic through. Unfortunately, it was slow, "stop & go" all the way to the end, and then we were stuck behind a long line of vehicles all the way to Jack's Corner.

The lane closures are suppose to be daily from 6:30-6:30 including weekends on 503 itself. Once they begin work on 503 Spur (East of Jack's Corner), lane closures will stop for the weekend (Fri-Sun).
