Track day @ The Ridge with partial eclipse?

Sounds like the A or B group might have a briefly dark 2nd session of one lap at the Ridge. That would be interesting to experience. Hope someone tells us about it afterwards.

Actually, Ryan Phillips of ThreeSixtyPhotography has plans to capture images during the solar event.
Could result in some amazing once in a lifetime pictures for those of you lucky enough to be on track during this!

Sort of.

A 90% eclipse is nothing like being under the line of totality. It won't actually get dark up here. Nothing more than a really overcast day. You will notice the temperature drop and birds start doing weird shit but that's about it.

Yeah, but what if the sun doesn't come back out?! And it stays dark and overcast? What then?!
Oh wait, that's just our typical northwest winter.
