Pacific Raceway- any spots to watch out for?

Anyone going to OPRT @ PR on June 3rd?

It's been 16 years since I've been there, sure the pavement is the same as then, but am aware of repaving on a portion of track (turns 8-10?) and the sweep right/left into the old hot pit on the straight.

I was there as a spectator when they instigated the Bus Stop turn after a racer was killed coming out of turn 9 in the 600 SS class. Not a pleasant sight.

Any bumps or weird seams a rider should be aware of? I remember a big bump at the apex of 6, as it's one of the few right handers there.

Also is camping allowed the night before? Thanks for any insight.

It's been a while for me too, but I was leading the second wave of that race in the Open Dinosaur class on a black Katana.

I will be at Pacific Raceway tomorrow (Friday 21st) for my first track day with 2-fast. Come out and join the fun. I cut my teeth on that track many years ago. There are a few spots to be aware of and adjust your line accordingly. Fun for sure!

Front Straight before the chute is bumpier than ever

Turn 2 pavement is relatively new (3 years old?), no more mini-pothole on the exit.

Unless it's been re-done this past off-season, 4 is pretty chunky

The wheelie-ridge on the back straight seems to get bigger every year, but maybe I'm just getter faster.

Exit of 7 will be slick, another year's growth of moss needs to be beat down.

8 and 9 are recently re-paved, no more dip at the apex of 8, longitudinal seam and severe chunking of 9 is gone.

Gravel is gone from the outside of the busstop.

Yes, that is my bike with my buddy Bob on it. When they created the Dinosaur class, we prepped it and he won the first championship on it. He got tired of it, so I tried a few laps. Racing is addictive!
