New rider training at PIR

I am looking into signing up for a New rider training at PIR this summer.

It is a big commitment to purchase a race suit before finding out whether I will continue to visit the track or not.

Do they require a leather suit for even the New rider training course?

Thanks.

You can wear a textile jacket and pants but they must zip together. Along with full leather boots and gloves or equivalent. My 1st track day was at PIR a few years back with all my new gear. Takes awhile to break it in and get use to it but once you do, you'll feel naked without it. You can always ride on the street with it too, it's a good investment, can't really go wrong. Good luck and enjoy!

So my riding jacket is Dainese leather jacket with zipper for the Dainese pants.
I believe it is only 270. So this won't qualify, correct?

Call the track day provider and ask what will pass their safety requirements. If your taking the class and having a coach by your side, they may be ok with it for your first time. If not, a place in Seattle rents them, not sure if I've seen him trackside @ PIR however. Google search!!

I will get a 2 piece race suit.

Perforated vs non perforated.
Should I get perforated one?

Thank you

Fwiw, I've got a nearly new/inexpensive AGV 50/60 leather suit going up for sale soon.
