That was probably the biggest surprise of the weekend for me. I couldn't believe how many bikes went down there.

Last track day, 9/1/20, I jokingly asked officials, if the riders participating, could vote on the new chicane or no chicane before the morning riders meeting? "No" was the reply, we're running it, cause the participants want to run the same course as the Moto America riders did 2 days prior & the provider payed more to incorporate into the day.

I'm merely a track day enthusiast in intermediate, when a surprise verbal message was called on hot pit, that we're not running the chicane @ 9:20am...what?

I was honestly really pleased with the decision, but not sure what happened to come that conclusion.

We had an excellent day with weather/track conditions & no red flags.

I was riding in the advanced session that day and they told us in the hot pit right before the 2nd session (ran the first with the chicane). Asked OPRT personnel about it later in the day and was told there were not enough corner workers available to man the chicane area, so sounds like it was a safety issue.
