No one is commenting on this topic? No one saw the race this morning? I watched it. It was nice to have a real race to watch. It's been a long time. That track and the conditions are a total trip. I love seeing the front brake rotors turn bright red with heat when they apply the binders at 180 MPH into turn 1. The broadcast was awesome, the Euro announcers are top notch. Especially compared to that idiot Greg White that does the MotoAmerica series. He makes me wanna start cutting myself. And Pridmore aint much better. The graphics, camera angles, stats and in-race info are awesome. And having the big boys start the season at COTA is gonna be tits.

And this Joe Roberts kid might looked to be a competitor. Something that has been sorely missing with the American riders over the last decade or so. They don't seem to have much fight to go with the required skillset. I, of course, could be, and probably are, wrong, but American men don't seem to be doing very well in the International athletic fields. Except for basketball, of course. Anyway, I'm a yuuuuge Rossi fan, and even tho his skillset is fading and his time is clearly over, it's fun for me to cheer him on against the evil that is MM, and now with his perpetually binning brother as his teammate, should be a real interesting season. Lorenzo retired, Pedrosa out, Petrucci on a factory Ducati as Dovi's teammate, is it time for a Ducati to take the title? Could Rossi help out his countrymen to halt MM's dominance? Will there be any races in Italy this year because of that ridiculous Coronavirus panic?

Tune in race fans... here's hoping for a contested championship this year.

I was interested to see the comments, and didn't want to have any spoilers, but it seems motogp discussions have dried up since the old days from the past forum (which I won't mention).

But yea, this is a breath of fresh air for an American racer. I too agree, that was a fun race to watch, and Joe Roberts will be exciting (I believe) to watch this year and hopefully years to come! Also Qatar is such a cool race and track. Love the racing under lights. I've been to COTA, but I told my wife today, if there was another place to travel for a motogp race, I think I would choose Qatar.

Yep, I'll be rooting for the Ducati boyz........again......

I was lamenting the fact that I already paid for my internet subscription and then found out motogp was going to be free on NBCSN. Now I may get the last laugh as I will be able to watch Joe Roberts in moto2 while NBC shows only motogp. I'm sure they will have updates on Roberts though.

Have not really been into watching or caring about who was doing what in any of the motorsports. Never have been. I will check in once in a while just to take a look, but over all I don't really care. I have things to do...
Good luck to him though!

If you have a compromised immune system, it very well may be a death sentence. Hard not to have a bit of panic with how quickly this comes on and how easily it spreads. Goes right to the lungs. Brand new, so everyone is in the dark as to how to fight it.

Couple sites tracking it. The second has a bit more background.

I peed my pants a little when I read this. How many people did he have to blow to keep his career limping along all these years?

This is why I always watch the EuroSport or BBC. I like Neil Hodgson, he's quick witted and an actual racer.

A compromised immune system. Hmmm. I wonder how and why that happens. Maybe because the medical for-profit industry over-prescribes anti-biotics for every little symptom and/or illness. Instead of encouraging more healthy lifestyles, i.e., better, healthier eating habits, regular exercise routines, adequate health care access, preventative health care, et al, the for profit hacks are now corporatized. Just get em in, prescribe them the flavor-of-the-month anti-biotic that I (the prescribing hack Dr.), get paid to move, and get em out. Go ahead and burn down the rainforests that humans have been getting vaccines from, deny test kits to keep the "numbers" down, blame the media for pushing the "panic" button and insert head in the neighbors sand pit.

I exaggerate somewhat in order to clarify. Get my meaning? The topic at hand was the Moto2 race, the conditions, the track and the American rider. A side topic, collateral damage, if you will, was the mention of the hot topic of the day, COVID-19. Well, my bad for even bringing it up. I realize everyone is all up in a tizzy and buyin up all the TP in town(s), but come on, get a grip. I don't really give 2 shits about someone's "compromised immune system" when more than likely, it's that person's own fault for having a compromised immune system in the first place. And for those vulnerable elderly folks in retirement communities, maybe they shouldn't be in retirement communities. Maybe they should be taken care of by their selfish children AT HOME.
