The dream is to find a running late 60s/early 70s Ford Ranchero (at least pre-'74, no emissions test). Then, pull the drive train, replace whatever engine is there with a 5.0L Ford Coyote, 6-spd manual, upgrade brakes, diff, suspension, and interior [bed, if needed].

In my flawed mind at least, that'd be an amazing hauler. Enough bed room for two bikes and gear, low step-in height, and probably 20 mpg cruising. Lots of fun to drive -- passing acceleration is key!
So basically an Australian Ford Falcon Ute.

My friend has over 500k on his 5.9Cummins, and still going strong. It's used as a work truck pulling a trailer for his business. I love my 2nd gen.

I've got no idea what the reliability of those things are, but do know that the 5.9 is as close to indestructible as they come. Those trucks hold their value and it's for reason.

Not too far off! I got to drive one in Australia a few years ago; it was great fun.

The 60s & 70s Rancheros have a much bigger bed, though. The ute that I drove had maybe a 5' bed (at most), and probably wouldn't hold more than a single bike with the tailgate down. Or maybe like 2 Ninja 250s.
