May 2020 puyallup used to be sv650, now 07 zx14 | Guys! I went from sv650 to zx14.
I haven't crashed it yet but it did fall over on its own. Any group rides happening once I fix it?

I went from a ZZR600 to a ZX14 in 2007. Fell over in my garage on the left, slider and center stand protected it, ZERO damage. Fell over on the right in my driveway, slider took most of the hit, very slight dent in the exhaust can. However trying to save it in the driveway ended up with a broken collarbone! ![]() Sold it last year with 75K miles on it to a nice kid. I never crashed it, just the tip overs and I swear that I harm more of my things in my garage than on the streets! |

It will roll far enough forward in gear to kick up the KS unless you purposely roll it forward in gear and then deploy the KS. Same with my C14.

The only damage really was the broken rear set and lever, the scratches was from previous owner. https://imgur.com/a/4KUUgMN |

Wow! I'm not sure I've seen a rear set snap like that. Must have been an interesting angle, or possibly previously damaged. Looks like there's a bit from the previous owner. I think T-Rex Racing makes good frame sliders. I went down at the track last year on my ZX-10R, and the frame slider took it so well there are only a couple of scuffs on the fairing and the bar-end [replaced slider and bar end, of course]. They also make kits for some bikes that come with spools, the sliders, and engine case covers as well. T-Rex replaced the slider & mounting bolt for $30 - shipped! There are a bazillion rear set manufacturers out there. I've always thought Woodcraft makes good stuff. They may have levers for your bike, too. |

Here is another one for you guys, i want to take the bike with me across country. If everything in the trailer moves a little all the time will putting the bike in gear damage the transmission?

A trailer restraint so you don't have to compress the suspension all the way across the country would be a good thing. There are a bunch of them out there. The two I'm most familiar with are the pit bull and the moto D strapless rear stand. That's the one I have on my trailer - runs a rod through the rear axle and holds the rear tire just a bit off the ground - solid as a rock. Of course, you'll have to drill into the trailer floor to use either of those. If you're renting the trailer, that might not be ideal. Could still get a Baxley front wheel chock, or something like it, though - those hold pretty well. |
