Fuel tank restoration

Does anyone have a suggestion for a shop you would trust to put a new inner coating on a fuel tank? Don't really want to play with the at home kits, last time I had a radiator shop do it and the difference was only about $20 anyway. That was Bellingham, however, so any recommendations here are appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry I can't offer any help, but I am curious who you took your tank to in Bellingham, since it sounds like you are happy with the results.

Whatcom Radiator and Battery, right on the corner of State and Meador. Pretty quick turnaround, reasonable price, and whatever they use is tough.

The stuff a lot of radiator shops use is RedKote, easy to do at home, one step, good stuff, not expensive. Just my opinion so sorry I did not name a shop.

No problem, that stuff looks like a good way to do it at home. I've just heard horror stories about Kreem and similar products, but this one seems easy enough. Thanks!

My redkote job in the rusty, re-welded 99 TW 200 tank is going strong after 6 years.
Good luck!
