Ducati Ownership.....Living the Dream.

We get up at zero dark thirty to arrive at Starbucks before they open. We pull our truck and trailer behind the store and time it so that when we get the bike unloaded, there will be a few customers to see us ride up and worship our bikes as we strut in and order our first long named drink using all the Italian names we see up on the menu.

With our Ducs parked out front in the choicest spot, we sip on our drink beaming in the admiration our Ducs get and taking all the pretty ladies phone numbers knowing that we'll never give them a ride as we're too cool to have passenger seats and pegs. As the day winds down, we nod our helmets at the last patron and coolly ride of hoping not to drop our pride and joy in front of them. As soon as we're out of sight we load her in our trailers for the drive home.

Another successful day of a Ducati Poser.

Starbucks cards are issued to every new Ducati buyer. Life time membership.

Funny! I used to dispise the whole Ducati poser group. I always believed the bikes to be expensive high maintainance, over engineered versions of what the rest of us ride.

When my sweetie brought home a pikes peak multistrada, I giggled a bit at her pretentious move until I got to know the machine. Its not for me but there is really nothing like it.
I hesitantly test rode the 848 streetfighter and absolutely fell in love with it buying the bike on the spot. I murdered the poor bike and currently have an aprilia. Its just hard to give up the feel and personality that now seems to be missing in japanese bikes.

The credit card group will always be there just as it is with high end sports cars. There are also those who stretch their budget to own one because the experience is worth it.

Me either. But I don't go to Starbucks anyway. The Ducati is like a wild stallion; it wants to RUN and you have to hold on for dear life. Not for the faint at heart. Or sissies.

Here you go!

You see, in Seattle, only tourists go to Starbucks.

I didn't get the card either. Must be due to me daily riding it (just think of that coffee bill)!

As a Duc owner, this is great. Sadly I know too many people that fit this description.

Just the thought of a carmel mocha frapachino makes me want to load up a seat cussion and a sign with an arrow that says "thats my motorcycle". Maybe get a matching onesie so they know

Oh Matthew,...

You used to be such a fine young man, bringing such joy and mirth to the roadways on your wonderfully noble SV1000.

Well, nothing for it I guess. You'll just have to come to bike night, and do me the honor of letting you by me a beer (maybe even a fine Scottish or Irish, distilled spirit).

Well, that other Ducatista, Susan has been picking the locales. That means that we tend to roam around a bit. So, always check out the forum for where we're meeting.
