Mar 2016 Seattle East Side | Anyone know this idiot?
Looks like a black speed triple. South Bound 167 on the 410 East exit ramp. Speeding, running from cops, passing in the shoulder, target fixation, rear brake lock-up, jail. https://www.reddit.com/r/IdiotsInCar...y_in_comments/ |

Well spotted on the model. I mean I don't know that you're right but a speed triple image search shows many examples of a matching arrangement of taillight, indicators and bark nozzles on either side. Always a happy ending when a numbnuts takes himself out nonfatally in the soft grass verge without involving anyone else. And it's one of those instructive viewing videos that a person could learn something from by watching. Hope the bike is okay. |

If you are going to pass a truck like that you’ve got to pull off the turn. I’ll give him a 3 for the difficulty, and 0 for the execution (standard Olympic 10 point scale btw). Hope the bike is ok as well. Rider should consider a track day or two...

If that's a box truck then there's a good chance the rider did not even know there was a 180 u-bend coming up, given that the sign and the road ahead would have been blocked from his view as he approached and passed. The other thing that gets me on watching him lose it is that when he got scared he took his left foot off the peg. On top of everything else. If there was a way to regain control of the bike he ruled it out right then. He needs a track day after he learns the basics of riding. |

Reddit? Really? He skidded the rearend for just a sec but released the brake. Bad wobble then straight off the road. ABS might have helped, but dude was not gonna make that curve. Nope. Note: putting your foot down is not always a rookie mistake. ![]() Judge not.... Edited by Sentinel on Jul 10th 2018 at 08:15 PM |

Don't ask how I know, but for those concerned, Speed Triples crash really well. I mean, from such a soft landing like that one, just tip her up and ride her away.

He's lucky there wasn't a car directly in front of the truck to crash into. I’m getting sick of guys like this trying to remove themselves from the gene pool. Edited by Dash Riprock on Jul 11th 2018 at 01:51 PM |

I couldn't believe how long the moron waited to make that pass... and how much longer he waited to get on the brakes. That should have been an easy turn. |
