Local mechanic recommendation?

Buddy of mine has a 97 Suzuki Marauder 800 that's been a project for a while, he was looking for a recommendation for a local bike mechanic to get it working. I guess it's got some kind of fuel issue. Knowing nothing of fuel systems, I figured I'd ask here for a referral. Thanks everyone!

The Marauder 800 was an earlier, carburetted version of the C50...

If I ever get a free weekend, I'm hoping to have a Maintenance/Garage Day, and we could take a look at it then...

I have an 03 Marauder and I have found a lot of good advice at another forum. If interested, it is called MIG, for Marauders, Intruders and they even talk about some Boulevards.

Thanks guys for the info, but I think he's trying to drop it off somewhere to get it fixed quick as he's moving in a few weeks and doesn't have a trailer to drag it to Seattle area. He's looking at sprocket sports, but I don't know anything about them. Any thoughts?

I have heard good and bad about the service at Sprocket Sports.

You could try Allen's Cycle which is on Pittsburg just north of Francis.

They work on all of my stuff, my road bikes, my ATV's, dirt bikes and my vintage bikes.

  all of them
If he can't find a known good shop over there... best advice is to bite the bullet and bring it to Seattle. Plenty of decent shops here to sort the carbs which I'm sure is what it needs. Very finicky job that needs to be done right otherwise headaches after dropping hundreds of dollars.
