Jul 2018 Mill Creek 06 SV650S | Where’s all the bike clubs?
A few years ago, I was a member of a private ride group, they dont exist anymore. Eastside sportbikers has disappeared. XLSR is awesome. It not for new people (great and fast riders). Where’s the group for mid engine sport bikes who like to have fun on 4 up groups who just putter around the city and have fun? Any ideas. Should I join a scooter forum and get a grom? Also, I would like to see bikers should have some community events to help wanna be riders get out of their shell and we get more bikes on the road. Pipe dream? Maybe. |

I think they all went underground with secretive vetting. Hard to keep a good group good. Oh and facebook but no thanks. What a cesspool. |

Quit messing around and cut your darn muffler off already. Other like-minded riders can then find you due to the new distinctive exhaust note. Sort of a mating call for the other lonely bikers. Instant riding club.

Believe it or not, this used to be a super active group. Most regions had monthly or more-frequent bike nights. Weekday rides a lot of days. Coffee nights. And weekends saw at least one ride if not more each day. We even had training rides a few times a summer. We had a poker run and occasional wrenching get togethers and BBQs. And it wasn’t just PNWMoto/PNW Riders members. Riders from all sorts of groups and clubs would join our rides. Some rides would have 50 or more riders from the region. While more of a get together than a ride I’m trying to get Cycle gear Vancouver Washington to help put together a Backfire type event for this area.Talked to them the other day and their initially enthused. As usual anything Seattle does we can do better. How about it folks? Wanna google Backfire moto to get an idea of what it is and let me or Cycle gear know. Going tomorrow or next day to talk to the GM there. The more the better. Went to the one the 15th at Seattle and I was astounded at the turnout and variety of people and motorcycles. Started at 3 pm I stayed till 930 then headed home.Maybe 6or7 hundred motorcycles and couple thou people and they’ve done this every month for several years. Food vendors, live music, Cafe’s, sport touring, Harley’s,adventure bikes, touring, rat bikes, customs, all makes all types were parked side by side at Backfire with everyone having a great time with like minded new friends. Let’s give it a go.
