Arrow Good To Go pass for motorcycles

I've seen some issues where riders are finding accidental charges on their Good To Go pass for their motorcycle. Is this still the case or have they resolved the issue?

I just had some issues a few months ago. Previous good pass no longer being read on 520 and tolled for 405. Had to go in get pass tested/replaced and then they credited.

I haven't ridden my bike for a while, other than a couple of days (damn weather), but have yet to receive the usual bill in the mail I'd been receiving on a regular basis since they started the damn thing. Perhaps just maybe they have it fixed?

Haven't gone through on my bike but they tried to toll me in my car despite having a passenger and being from Oregon. My assumption is that they just toll anything and everything that comes through and hope people just pay the bill without realizing they don't have to. I was able to get them waved by filling out that form they include with the mailed tickets, cost me a stamp, though... bastards.

I started that extensive thread on the "site that shall not be named" about this, and I ride it every day on a bike. Here is what I have determined thus far:
  1. The pass must be mounted as vertically as possible for it to work. If you put it on your tank or on a sloped windscreen where it is flat or diagonal, it has a higher chance of not being read. Old school traditional headlights like those found on most cruisers are best for this. If you have something like a CBR or R6 that has two headlights, just try to put it where it can be the most vertical like I said.
  2. Some of the older motorcycle passes functioned where you would go through, they would charge you the toll, and then they would refund it almost immediately. This meant that the "charge" would show up in your MyGood2Go account but it was way less obvious to see that it was being refunded. I thought I was being improperly tolled for months because of this. Newer passes I think are fine, but just check for this if you see tolls on your pass just in case.

In any case, if you do have an issue, use their "Online Contact Form" in the MyGood2Go site. This prevents you from sitting on the phone for hours and they always got back to me within a reasonable amount of time.

I spoke too soon on my earlier posting, as on Saturday I rec'd yet another bill in the mail for my FZ6 on I-405. What never ceases to amaze me is there are three "violations", all for different dates and only one way on each date, yet I take the same route to & from work. *sigh* Oh, and so when I went to call them this morning when the opened (7:00am), they've apparently changed their hours and now open at 8:00am. *sigh*

So....this reminded me to check, and appears I've been charged for going through NB on 405 with my motorcycle transponder. what's the process everyone's used to get those refunded?

Use their "Online Contact Form" on the Good2Go site. Just explain that you have been improperly charged. They refunded my discrepancies without issue after about a week.

Still the case and one additional comment is that the transponder seems to have a hard time being read if it's within a couple inches of metal..

Just a followup. Found that there's an office 2 blocks out of the way on my way home, so I stopped in yesterday. They're crediting back the 405 toll as well as a license read surcharge from a 520 crossing, as the sticker was failing to read. Apparently even though I have it mounted on the headlamp as instructed, the small faring overhang over the headlamp (typical H-D batwing faring) is likely enough to prevent it from being read.

They're sending me a new transponder, and suggest that I mount it on the upper faring, near or on the windscreen.

Thanks for the tips on where to mount it. I have a transponder at home that I've been procrastinating putting on the bike.

Couple of FYIs

Finally broke down and took my FZ6 in to get the pass checked after receiving yet another Toll Bill. Tried the Bellevue location and finally gave up trying to find a damn parking place after 20 friggin' minutes. So today I went to the Seattle location and they don't have the equipment to verify a pass is working! The guy I spoke with was pretty understanding and said that the problem was I have one of the early passes, which he said have issues. (No shit) Anyways, he told me to take pictures of the pass and email them, along with the plate # and my contact info. They're supposed to send me a new pass. He also suggested mounting it to the windscreen, down low, rather than the headlight. What a fiasco....

Finally rec'd my new pass for the FZ6 and per their new instructions, mounted it on the windscreen and it appears to be working as advertised. (Time will tell) But they still made me bring the Aprilia in to be tested. The transponder was working just fine, but due to where it was mounted (on the headlight like I was told to do), it was being read sporadically, thus the new suggestion of where to mount it. Should have that new transponder in 10-14 days and will hopefully never had to deal with this crap again. Unless, that is, I bust my windscreen.
