Downtown Seattle, with no motorcycle parking...yeah, that will last.

Personally, I don't think it's too bad down here (I work just a couple blocks away and ride in from the burbs 5 days a week). I can see spots from my window here at work and there will be plenty of spots once the viaduct is down, unless spending a few bucks on metered parking is going to blow some riders Dainese budget. People by the thousands still find a way to come to Seahawk/Mariners/Sounders games down here without too much trouble.

Cool. I have a new Dainese jacket I bought last season that is too big for me. If they have some sort of sale, I could really use a jacket that fits. Life is hard for moto dudes who are....athletic... in their build. "American" fit doesn't work for me.

Maybe, but compare that to an outlying area that has a real parking lot, not just a few spots. And don't forget with your reference to sports games...parking lots.

Drop that store in Tukwila or Federal Way, with a large, free, parking lot and you've got a better chance of really drawing in business.

I guess I'll defer to their experience with the SF store, as it would probably be in San Jose if the burbs provided a larger profit margin.

Here's a handy motorcycle parking map. Check out the RPZ zones in yellow "In Restricted Parking Zones (RPZs), motorcycle and scooter users may park for up to 72 hours without an RPZ permit."

I actually like riding to waterfront and Pioneer square, just not through the downtown.

Are you for real? It's Dainese... Not Rev'it. Top of the line expensive gear wouldn't pull local customers in from those areas. They'd scoff at their prices.

It'd have to be Seattle or Bellevue.

Yeah I suspect they have done some market research and are building in a location that they expect can support their brand. They make great gear and I have some. Iím sure Iíll stop by when it opens.

Has nothing to do with quality of gear, or even local customers. Has everything to do with access. I don't care how nice your product is, if it's a PIA to get there, and find a place to park, then it ain't happening.

concur. i'd rather eat glass than go downtown or to Bellevue.
if you live there and are already there, so that you walk around and maybe scooter around or something, and you don't drive in and out and park and stuff, then maybe. but why the ufkc would I ever drive into those places?

lol. they say that cities are growing like cancer. everyone is moving into them away from - everywhere else. I say good. Not me though. I like humming birds, raccoons and crows, dark skies, and quiet at night. also trees, lakes, parks, and open spaces I can see the sky from.

I roger up that there are also leaf blowers and lawnmowers every fucking weekend morning and all fucking day (does no one rake any more you lazy fuckers?) and I roger up that I spend time maintaining my secret hideout in the trees, but that's a very zen thing for me.

I don't think you can beat having the ups guy bring you your new jacket next day and drop it on your porch for free.

And I can't imagine trying to get a truck and race trailer to the store. At least Tukwilla is on the way to the tracks for the rich kids in Bellevue.

If you can afford Dainese gear, you can afford $2 for parking. And if they're smart, they'll pay the city to have motorcycle-only parking in front. Pioneer Square is a short hop from I5 and literally on Aurora. They're taking down the viaduct, so the area is going to shoot upscale, with more cafes and shops opening, which attracts younglings. They will do well.

You hillbillies should get over your fears and check out everything our world-class city has to offer.
