You can seriously get shot for wearing a clown costume, with all the recent hysteria.

Best of luck to you. Remember, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I do agree it may be in bad taste, but imho there is a difference between riding a bike thru town dressed up vs standing in the bushes asking little kids to come play. maybe a fun group ride (which i am now calling "Clownin' Around 2016" if it happens) will help offset the Stephen King style that has now become a popular game with teens and younger kids.

on another note, i am pretty sure most of the "sightings" are fake. i remember being a kid once long ago and screwing around to fuck with adults.

just my 2 cents...

**edit**
there is a guy in olympia with an "Animal" from the Muppets helmet rolling around. if there was a guy in an Animal mask standing in the bushes trying to talk to kids, im pretty sure he would end up having to register as a sex offender. its all about context, which seems to be lost in society now

Yeeeaaahhh, not sure I want to have motorcyclists being identified with the 'clown' thing. The cagers hate us and the public fears us as it is....

What you're probably imagining

What everyone else is probably imagining

What it would probably really look like

OK. Here's what got me thinking about this. I have an old Santa out fit. And an old helmet I was going to glue the Santa hat on and ride around dresses as Santa all of december. I've been thinking about this for the last month or so. And Idk. Then with all the clown drama just came to me....
I don't care what anyone says. Everybody loves a Santa on a cycle

The way I pictured it being perceived is putting a light/ funny twist on the mass hysteria. Like some one said. Depends on the context. A few guys riding down a busy street during the day, I would think people are going to find that funny. Which is what I am picturing. Now if we break into some gated community and ride around in the middle of the night waking people up with our loud exhaust to see a bunch of evil clowns on motorcycles. Well that may be scary and yeah maybe we get shot at. (Not what I'm going for)

But those illegal banana peels can be nasty and make you spin around a bunch before you can go again.
