No pics (I know, it doesn't count), but just came back from a ride. I have had the good fortune to have other riders sell cheap or outright give me a lot of warm gear - Scorpion XDR Commander jacket with liners, Gerbings heated liner jacket and glove liners, Racer Thinsulate lined gloves, Firstgear overpants with padded liner, Astars Goretex boots. Wunderground said it was a balmy 38 outside so I put all that stuff on and went out, under the auspices of trying out my just modified rear turnsignals/brakelights.
It was OK for two blocks. Took a right turn onto Sherman Hill Road and discovered sand all over it. Kudos to the county for being on the ball, but S**t!, I was not expecting that! Got up to Clear Creek and found not only sand but frost down the middle of the lane. Puckertime. Turned off on Rude Rd. and came back home. I will say that I was snug as an electrically heated bug on the ride, the warm gear did it's job admirably. But getting all that stuff off before expiring from heat exhaustion after I stopped was surprisingly tiring. I begin to understand why everyone was practically giving it away. Think maybe I'ma stay in the garage and fix bikes till the temp gets back above 45...

I wasn't actually that cold the first hour. Nothing electrical, just oxford gloves, wool undies, and wool socks. I may invest in heated grips, though.
