This pisses him off (as expressed by his own words on the video) and so he takes off after the car. He does not "cut across the lanes quickly to try and catch up" as he made the two rapid lane changes before the car goes by.

Here are his own words on this: "anywho, i was getting on i-5 and working my way over to the left lane thru traffic. acura comes flyin by doin at least 90 thru traffic. what u dont see is he was just in my lane behind me and barely missed me from behind. i get into the left lane and the rest is history"

Funny how he calls his aggressive lane changes "working my way over". He also doesn't mention that he saw the Acura before it nearly hit him. So I'm not quite sure where you came up with the idea that he saw the car speeding and decided to change lanes, across the freeway, to catch up to it to see its plate.
Yeah yourvright there are some very conflicting stories out there.

I had a close call yesterday. Hit some sand in a corner. Tried to stand the bike up to brake, started drifting into other lane just as a pickup came around. Yanked the bike over at the last second. I wonder if I would have held at the truck for driver in his lane when I clearly needed it. Geeze whAt was he thinking.

But I've never been much of a begger. And luckily my health insurance cover most of my bills so I was able to keep the rest for my pain and suffering.

I've never understood why he didn't swerve back right. Target fixation I suppose?

Wouldnt matter much here, since there was another camera rolling. I think the lesson here is, always have a camera rolling but know when to turn it off.

On my fz1 it wouldn't be hard to hide one under the headlight fairing. And only disclose it If something happened that was clearly not my fault.

Am I wrong or did I see the bikes brake light come on the second before impact? Probably his rear brake.
CMSP may be or should be in the very near future, and anger management

OP- it's a great time for some serious assessment, and that's not a bad thing. We've all made mistakes, but it's how we deal with those mistakes that makes all the difference.

Be damn glad you didn't phuck yourself up more than your knee. I challenge you to become an older & wiser rider.

In my experience people with anger issues don't learn. They don't need to change because everything is someone else's fault.

And there is no shortage of angry riders making videos of their own bad behavior.

Its troubling that so many comments are supportive of this tool, and excuse his road rage. (and yes, the car is guilty of road rage and reckless driving as well but the bike could have ridden away at any time.)

Copy and pasted from the above article...

Despite the compelling evidence of Dieckmanís footage, a spokesperson from the Washington State Patrol told The Olympian last week that Dieckman was at fault. No charges or citations have been filed yet.

So far, Dieckman said he has had trouble finding an attorney to take his case because the Acura driver lacks auto insurance.

Wow, looks like snowflake has learned absolutely nothing. If he digs that hole any deeper, he will be looking for a chinese attorney.

This is my last post on this, I am just blowing hot air at this point.
