Holy crap, that very easily could have had a much
different outcome. Under the circumstances i thought
you were very composed. The adrenaline pumping at
that point would be intense. Happy to hear your OK.
Would be interested to know what the verdict turns
out to be for that asshat!!

This guy acts like one my customers and I'm just a "Behavioral Specialist".

The state patrol wants a copy of your video so they can (to try) pin "reckless driving" on this "Un-Acura" driver.

What is with some people these days? Behavior in public like that (this motorist this situation) would only get hit by my father.

Just like everyone heal up and sue this Acura driving moron and get (Insert brand name here) motorcycle of your dreams.

Let's see, the rider initiated road range by giving the Acura driver the finger, then accelerated to catch up with and run him down, and then rear-ended him. All this while outfitted in jeans and tennis shoes. Seems there are many areas lacking discretion.

Lack of discretion, yes. Justification for murder, no.

Again, glad you're alright. The trunk ride looked terrifying. From the video, it's too hard for me to tell what caused you to contact the car... it looked like you saw the Acura fly by and then you tried to chase it down out of rage or spite or something like that... I'm not criticizing, just saying that that's what it looks like to me.

Glad you are alright...just one question though...how in God's name did you hold on to that car?

Do you always respond to bad drivers by ramming your bike into them?

WTH?????

You post a video trying to show people how bad the Acura driver is, but clearly YOU are the one who went postal on him and chased after him. I'm not shocked that you were so out of control you couldn't stop and you hit him! (You are responsible for your reaction, no matter how foolish he was.)

I'm not sure what's more surprising; that you are looking for sympathy when you did something completely irresponsible, or that you actually got some from people on here.

Just imagine watching that video and the conclusion being that the rider died in the accident. I assume most riders would be sitting here shaking their heads at how stupid the rider was for going crazy and speeding after the car.

SMH...

I was at first only to down load the after collision video. This video showed the egoist car driver. The collision video, tells me the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvey used to say.

You skipped over three lanes while merging onto I-5. What where you thinking?

You should have:

Stayed behind the white pick-up truck into lane #1 and then merge into #2.

Not (as I seen video) jumped quickly into lane #2 in front of the semi

The worst mistake was jumping right into lane #3 because the semi blocked your view of the Acura, which did have right of way in lane 3.

Okay, you had a near miss with the Acura in lane #3, but next time I don't know back off the throttle and put some distance between vehicle in front of you. Do not put wrist into a chase the Acura. That only makes people angry these day.

Just a little safety tip, okay. That kind of lane switching is not going to help your case in this situation.

One question:

Did the Acura driver really just slam on the brake or did ride right into that car?

The Acura driver may have hit the brakes because someone cut him off, or there was something in the road or it may have been an intentional brake check. (there is a youtube video of a cop brake checking someone..)
It doesn't matter, other than a few rare exceptions, if you hit a vehicle from behind, you are at fault.

so.....yeah.......um.....

I wanna feel sorry for you but unfortunately its hard to feel bad for someone that is just a victim of there on actions. I understand being mad at the guy for what ever we didn't see going on behind you and almost hitting you, but its pretty clear your behavior and decisions weren't much better then his.

I am not sure if giving this video to authorities is to your advantage.

On the other hand, destroying it now may be a felony.

Wow, just wow. I'm not sure just what to say first, other than you're one lucky SOB. Two wrongs never make it right. First off I wouldn't be so fast to let the WSP see that video. One being the way you entered the freeway, really? smh. That there was wrong, or not done as safe as it could of been played out, that Semi was in a position where you should have cooled your jets. Now the Acura might have started the ball rolling by going to fast, but you more than likely cut him off, he had no other choice but to move over as lousy as he did. That right there should have told you leave well enough alone, but No, you had to chase him down, ha and do what? Last time I checked autos weigh more than you. so both of you where in the wrong. That said Best of, hate seeing this, but man o man you're so lucky. Way to hang on though, that right there was worth the watch. Even though this could have been prevented by being the level headed one.

Not to mention generally from an insurance standpoint if you rear end someone you're at fault.
