Yes, we hit the Warm Springs area and Detroit Lake last weekend. We did about 1/2 dirt and 1/2 pavement, it was awesome!

NO! NO IT IS NOT!

Please do not waste your time nor fuel to ride in Eastern Oregon. I have ridden those roads and find them boring and nothing even close to what is being claimed.

Do yourself a favor. Just stay away.

Please.

Unlike what's happening to the wet side, this kind of publicity is probably a good thing, if it helps the state decide to maintain these roads rather than save money by turning them to gravel.

I really enjoyed riding Hwy 82 to Boise for my Iron Butt ride and Hwy 395 to Reno for the Busa Stampede.

Like Dusty said.. STAY AWAY! The roads are never repaired and it's always over 90 degrees in the summer. You'd hate it! As soon as summer is over, it snows on all of Eastern Oregon and you can't ride there..

Don't go to eastern Oregon. You'll fall off the edge of the earth, if the dinosaurs don't eat you first!!!

Nah.

The best riding in Oregon is in Beaverton, hands down. I love riding 217...at five o'clock...on a Friday....when it's 90 degrees.....trying to get to the Triumph parts counter....again....

Eastern Oregon is a complete waste of time.

Real simple Willow.

Take I-84 East until you cross the Snake River.

Don't bother getting off the freeway until you do; you'll only end up in Gresham.

It's AWFUL there! The whole place is covered by basalt, and who knows when those volcanoes are going to erupt again?

The cops are everywhere in Oregon and set speed traps in innocuous places. Juast chatted with a fellow rider that got a speeding ticket for 4 mph over (59 in a 55) the posted limit. He was also hit with a evading ticket because there was no shoulder where he was lit up. Had to go 1/4 mile before pulling over in a turn out. The cops in Oregon hate Californians and
Washifornians and will light you up for nothing. But if you enjoy the ride from Vantage to Spokane on I 90 it might be worth the risk.
