Thats the most patroled Hwy in Kitsap. (heard the Navy pays for more enforcement)

The last ticket I got on the highway was in that area. 69 in a 60..
I've heard that some cops are writing tickets for 5 over.

You heard wrong. The Navy does not pay for more enforcement. There is no plausible scenario where the Navy (Federal Government) would pay to put their Sailors in a bad position where they risk disciplinary action and career impacting events like loss of security clearance and drive up a negative community statistic. The Navy is preyed upon by the state. It's a "training" ground for state patrol. They know that corridor is filled with people who have a steady paycheck and can't afford to get in trouble so they'll pay citations. They've been doing it for greater than 20 years. They use the plane sometimes and sit a bunch of cruisers on the ramp at Trigger at about quitting time to nab all the Sailors and DoD employees on their way out. It's really a revenue generation scheme because the targeted people often just pay the ticket. Jr sailors often can't afford a lawyer and don't have time to be messing around in court. Besides, if you tell your CoC you have a court appointment you start the march down the disciplinary action trail. They will tell you they clocked you at 70 in a 60 then write you a ticket for doing 5 over so they "cut you a break" and you won't want to go to court.

A few year ago you could set your watch by the frequency that they did their "emphasis patrols". If it was military pay day, they were out there. I've seen as many as 9 cars on the Trigger ramp waiting with 2-3 out on 3 actively making stops. They often use use a trooper standing on the overpass by the bushes with a speed monitoring device and a radio.

There were many many complaints filed and it seemed to stop for a while but I guess it's back. Maybe they rely on the turnover rate of many residents in the county so they think it's cool to start this non-sense again.

Yeah it was totally my bad.
I know better than to go over about 70 on the highway in Kitsap.
I was tired and just wanted to work my way through the fucking traffic to get home and I started to feel a rhythm as I swung back and forth, slipping between campers and boats and all the other bullshit people feel the need to drag around behind them on the road. I was in a little bubble of car-passing and I thought I was being super careful, looking ahead and in the mirrors. I even watch the overpasses for lurking copheads.
But that airplane was UP THERE.
They have some kind of platform-stabilized tracking camera or something and i bet it has some good optics like that DJI drone stuff that will follow you around.
Any way, they charged my $159.00 for 75 in a 60.
I'll just pay.
I have like 3 tickets in the last maybe ten years and I ride kind of fast most of the time so its....fair.
Stick to the basics. Don't haul ass on the highway. Don't be the guy out front, passing cars. Stay the fuck off the roads on summer holiday weekends.

Are there any apps that show high ticket areas (and red light cameras)?

As an aside I managed to keep my premium from going up after my last stinker of a ticket when I was caught red-wristed in Grant County.

Had Progressive on the bikes alone, not shared with the cars which are with my homeowner's insurance provider. Anyway, about two months before expiration they sent me their renewal quote and it was more than double. (Hadn't happened the previous year, still well after the ticket, which makes me wonder just how long it takes them to get the news of your infraction.)

I just groaned and ignored it until the last minute. When I needed it, I went online and asked for a fresh quote -- by then some critical time period had passed since the actual ticket, probably two years, and the new quoted premium was right back to what it had originally been. So the timing was handy there; the moral is don't renew early if by holding out a little you can avoid a penalty thanks to the ordinary passage of time....

Ya know, if that story is true, then that is fuckin bullshit. Don't those fuckers have anything better to do than tax those that are already over-taxed? Obviously not. They can all eat a bag of dirty dicks.

"Hey dad, what do you do for a living?"
"Well son, basically, I screw hard working people out of their money. It's called taxation with fuck you representation"
"Wow dad, that's really shitty, how do you sleep at night? You're an asshole"
"Aw shucks son, thanx a lot. Would you like me to come to your class and tell your friends and classmates how I screw over their parents?"
"Nah dad, nobody likes you. You're a dooshbag"

Ya know, on the other hand...I was up in Tacoma last weekend, and I'm really impressed by the recently completed section of I-5 up there. WA obviously spends a shit ton of money investing in hard core infrastructure, and that's not a bad thing. Down here in good ol' Or-ee-gone, they resurface freeways that don't need it, chip seal roads that are already minefields, and generally don't give two shits about the roads. But i'll be damned if I see a Stater, LEO, county mounty, whatever on I-5 between Tualatin and Charbonneau... So I just lane split to my hearts content, all the while seeing cager after cager texting with one hand and "steering" with the other. Wiiiiiide berth, y'all...

Or you could leave early enough to get to work on time knowing the traffic situations you can expect. I did a lot of extra legal shenanigans in my younger days but in my late 20s just kind of mellowed out and went with what the day gave. Always left early enough to be timely.I'm almost 70 now and had one ticket for 10 over in Milwaukee OR. That's it. I ride easy and have fun regardless.
