I prefer NAPA - since their purchased car parts have always worked for me, unlike O'Reilly or Autozone.
+1

NAPA parts quality is much better than O'Reilly or Schucks. In my experience buying cheap auto parts has not been a good idea. I haven't used Autozone for parts other than wiper blades so I don't know about them.

I too await your review Johnny. I'd rather pay double to NOT go to stinking WalMart. I hate that place and all it does. I always feel kinda scummy going there.
Think it would be good for filming my commercial fishing in Alaska.

I couldn't agree more. I refuse to walk into that place!

Still working on the demo videos, but I do have this:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/10...-Dual-Cam.html

This is the manual for the camera which will give you an idea of all the modes, features, and functions it is capable of.

I also put in a call and sent an email to the Pilot Tech Line for a final clarification on the "WK" appendix on the part number. If/when I hear back, I will update...for those that care.

I used to work at O'Reilly, and they (as well as Autozone) consider themselves to be "Discount" auto parts stores. I wouldn't say the quality is any different, as long as you buy their higher-end stuff.

One thing I noticed when I moved to NAPA was the lack of "discount" parts. That is to say, what NAPA considers to be its "economy" parts line tends to be the middle of the road at O'Reilly, and NAPA doesn't offer the super-lower end stuff that O'Reilly does.

For example, NAPA brake pads with the "SS" designation are considered the standard that most mechanics will use, and they are on par with O'Reilly's "Thermoquiet" line of pads. Both are of excellent quality.
NAPA offers just one level down from the "SS" pad line (TS pads), but O'Reilly has FOUR(!) lines below the "Thermoquiet" line- "Brakebest Ceramic", "Brakebest Select", "Brakebest", and those really crappy generic looking pads in the yellow box that I wouldn't sell to my worst enemy.

It is true that O'Reilly and Autozone both seem to attract more people in part-time and/or entry level positions, but that isn't necessarily the rule.
Ultimately, it comes down to how knowledgeable the guy behind the counter is, and how willing you are to take his or her recommendations. That's where the real quality is when it comes to a parts store.

I have no problems with Wal-Mart, and I wouldn't suggest NOT going there. YMMV, of course.

I once went through 3 "new" alternators from Schucks before getting one that was not defective. I also once put Schucks' crappy brakes on a Toyota Supra and I thought that I was going to die going down the hill to the Columbia from Goldendale. The brakes over heated and were just about useless by the time I got to the bottom of the hill. When I got home I bought brakes from NAPA and never went back to Schucks.

An automobile mechanic friend of mine always tells people that is short for "Shucks, Wrong Part".

Well crap. Sale is over and I didn't have time to post the video. I'll just make some notes, so if someone wants to pick one up some other time, or the next time it goes on sale (anywhere), they have something to go on.

It's "good". Not great, not bad, just "good".

The function of the camera is perfect for a rider looking to document the dangers of riding and what may have caused a crash, but it isn't exactly "theater" quality...not even home theater quality. The video is a bit jerky at times at the higher resolution settings, but at the second and third best quality levels it's great. The audio is constantly solid.

What makes this a winner for us is the auto-save function, which you can set to save 1, 2, or 5 min. chunks of video until memory is full, then it starts overwriting the oldest chunk first, and continues on in an infinite loop. You can mark a chunk to save it from being overwritten by pressing a button during the recording (in case someone cuts you off or otherwise threatens your life), or it will auto-save a chunk if it detects a sudden impact, such as a crash...which IMHO is a pretty damn cool feature!

Here are some example videos from YouTube- none of these are mine, but it gives you an idea of what to expect:
