What in the living hell? Firstly the XR is alive...secondly...there's a red VFR 1200...WTF...what year was this photo taken. There appears to be some kind of LARP activity and a guy in a Panda costume? How did I miss this ride?

Thanks for letting me participate in another abbreviated loop. I was able to nurse Old Faithful back home but she started to get a little toasty at the end. Maybe next time...

Your bike needs Cox. Every bike does. Best radiator guard there is.

When I got mine, it came with a front sprocket guard to protect your cases from in case a chain breaks. Maybe you’ll get lucky and find the same deal. So, essentially, the Dutchess rides with 2 Cox guards.

I got a chuckle out of Shoot PDX's comment.. that's my VFR, and that ride was back in May of this year. It was busy as shit.. musta been 15 bikes. She's heavy and the suspension is a bit soft and she's not exactly suited for those Thursday rides, as they're a bit "spirited", but I can toss her around pretty good. I have the DCT model, and it's a lifesaver on mile munchin rides. I highly recommend one if you have the means.. Not one single mechanical issue (knock on wood), with this bike since I bought it in the summer of '16 with only 2300 miles on the clock. She has 30K on her now, and only standard maintenance, the obligatory Cox radiator guard and I had to buy the OEM hard bags (not standard, if you can believe that), but she's always ready to play.

Anyone have any good experience/recommendations for radiator repair?

Thanks,
Dave

I do not. All my “chick bikes” have had the Cox guards.

Ha ha! Well my ‘chick bike’ will be sporting one soon. Maybe it’d be more appropriate to call our Multis ‘hip’ bikes. On a related note, how did you hold up on the ride?

Appropriate is good, karma’s a bitch... and they do have comfy seats!!

I finished the ride, so it was a success for my well-being. I love to ride, and it was so great to be back on 2 — even if it was a short jaunt.

It was my honor to sweep such a great group of riders.

Thank you for the lead, Lee!

Fuck it...it's $35-50hr...for welding...and it will never be quite the same. Go eBay Chinese...in your case it's about $170 US for a $1300+ Italian "water cooler", super easy to swap on your own, a whopping 3 connections--inlet/outlet/overflow...
