 Jan 2016 Garden Home 2012 Versys...'83 BMW R80 RT...Suzuki GS 450t | Scappose-Vernonia Hwy. gravel
I was out on Scappose-Vernonia Hwy. today (8/5/2016) and there's a long..10 miles?..stretch where they're "sweeping" the road surface marked: loose gravel..no center line..20mph...I was coming from Scappose and it started shortly after the really rough road conditions..going up hill..and lasted almost all the way to Hwy. 47...I was able to ride faster than 20mph..but no fast corners and no knees down...it wasn't bad..but it was also some of the best part of the ride..where the road surface was really good in the first place...go figure...  |

Thanks for the heads up Chad. I almost went that way yesterday, but opted for a Carson to Cougar loop instead. Looks like I lucked out.

They will be chip sealing more of that road from Hwy 30 to Seirck (sp?) road on August 8.
