Lee takes of his helmet and the Leo see all that white hair on a 70 yr old guy in full leathers. Takes a second, just givens him a talking to.

I also remember that Lee didn't start riding till he retired? Man he was fast.

We (5 of us) were stuck behind a line of slow cars, Lee was leading i was second and he pulled out to pass the whole line of cars so we followed suit, as we passed the truck holding everybody up at hand cuff speed i noticed it said state police on the door of the truck, i slowed put my hand up and pulled over as i knew what was up and so did eveybody else..... except Lee he was still jaming Gears. The police Told us to stay put while he got Lee who pulled over up the road when he noticed we were all gone needless to say nobody got a ticket that day.

I missed this thread when it was first posted. Thank you, @Willow, for telling me about it.

Lee was such an inspiration to me, in so many ways. My visit with Lee and his wife, Christine, taught me so much about the good people out in the world, and Lee's patience with my riding taught me that I could challenge myself, persevere, and trust myself to meet my goals. What an amazing man, and I count myself lucky to have known him.

I had planned to return to visit and ride with him again - and had even gone so far as to correspond with them about potential dates several times - but I never made it happen. That is a big regret.

The accident happened in November, and I've been in touch with Christine. My heart goes out to her. She shared that the town erected a monument to Lee. The dedication was well attended, including the mayor of the municipality.

RIP, Lee, I miss you.
