Recommended Foliage Rides Near Portland
Fall is upon us, and the scenery keeps getting better. I'm looking to take a new passenger on a scenic ride near Portland to check out the changing colors.
My range is maybe 200 miles round trip. What would the collective recommend?

HWY 47/HWY 202
Columbia River Gorge Scenic HWY
Bull Run/Marmot Rd/E Barlow Trail Rd
Cougar to Carson loop
...just to name a few.

Carlton to Beaver and back. May be a bit over 200 miles depending on where you live and which way you come back.
Great ride and lots of deciduous trees. (Not evergreens).

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions!
I just went on the Carlton to Beaver ride. I was the only vehicle on the road the whole time, didn't see any cars or anything.
My tires weren't very well suited for the task at hand, I have Q3s on my ST4s. I felt like a grizzly bear on ice skates on some of the sections. Mud, wet leaves, potholes and lots of rain. It was worth it though, good scenery and fun to kick that bike sideways through some of it.
I've never been happier to get back on fast asphalt. I took HWY 6 back to Portland, and I just flew through that clean blacktop even though it was wet. The Q3s stepped out on me a couple times while leaned over, but that's almost expected. Can't wait to put some decent cold/wet tires on that machine.
I'll check out some more routes and report back here!
