The One Moto Show - February 7-9, 2020

In other news, this is not sold out yet for sure because it moved to a new huge venue, Veterans Memorial Coliseum:

So you can definitely still get your tickets, you got time. This will be ... different than before, let's see how.

The show itself feels about the same as last year. The biggest disappointment is the bike parking - it's not free and it's the same price as cars, therefore very few people rode and that part of the show is nonexistent.

I so wanted to hang out at this show, appreciate the talent, and drink some brew. Was able to make some time Sat, but was told at the parking lot that it was sold out. Sucked having to drive home. Just have to buy tickets in advance next time and risk not being able to make it.

That sucks! How could it be sold out? Such a huge venue.

Oh, one more thing that was missing was the mini bike races. They had a very small area setup for mini electric bike demo.

Regardless of all of our little complaints, it's very cool that we have this show, or actually even two now, since the International Motorcycle Show never took roots in Portland after one try.

They should hand out VIP passes to everyone who arrives on a motorcycle.

I don't know that the "sold out" signage was accurate. I found parking (car) at the u-store lot on Broadway/Larrabee. Single machine to dispense $10 tickets and a line that took about 15 minutes to get through. This was about 1:45 and there was a long line for tickets when I made it over to the venue. That took about 25 minutes to get to the window too. I saw at least a dozen people sneak in as others left the main venue. I was tempted but paid anyway. I saw the sold out signs but the fact that the ticket windows were open was contradictory. The guy in the ticket booth said that I only had 50 minutes before they closed. I don't understand why they would close the display floor so early. If I had arrived earlier and had not wasted the better part of an hour waiting in lines...well, my own fault.

Lots of nice bikes but I miss seeing the "backyard" and not so polished customs that were a hallmark of the earlier shows. Good looking vintage bikes and some creative customs. More room to walk around without bumping into everyone but the noise was overwhelming. Highlight for me was finding Ascot souvenirs. Could not resist getting a t-shirt since I got a chance to ride the TT track there back in '73.

Thanks for posting pics Lena! Please post pics folks, if you have them.
I worry that this may have jumped the shark and it's becoming a scene and getting too big???

That electric concept was incredible.
