Well after Almost 500 miles in the last Two days, i love This bike, the lsl bar kit Just Makes It So rideable, you got So much leverage it Just Flicks In without climbing on it like a jungle Gym, it Puts You in a position you can ride All day and i dont remember my 05 gsxr 1000 having near the mid range this one has, its ridiculous just power wheelies at will up thru 3 rd gear and never seems like your out of The power band and bogs Around Like a Vespa and the slightest Touch and your a hooligan, this ones a keeper. All smiles

Is diff sprockets on the '04 making better mid-range power over the '05 or did the '04 have engine work done to it? Or was the '05 neutered, lol

05-06 are My Favorite ive put about 20k on my last one and tracked The hell out of it( my avatar) My 05 was Bone stock except i had Gp set the geometry and turn some knobs and It was everthing youd ever want, there is a recal where suzuki glues a brace on the first frame weld down from the steering head as they had some frames Break on those years but i droped countless Wheelies and even had a couple crashes and never had a problem, as far as power i think suzuki kept sacrificing midrange to increase top end power thru out the generations but i can tell you none of them lack in the motor department its plenty for all but the best racers

picked my my '06 1000 today. Got a short ride in from her house to my work but too much traffic to really shake her down.

definitely have some tinkering to do. The brakes are completely stock. thats gonna change lol!

Congrats, Gsxr master Cylinders have a tendency To go soft try just
Doing a light brake bleed and i bet is nice and firm with no need to upgrade other than some good pads.
