MX boot resoling

Anyone ever have a pair of MX / dual-sport boots resoled locally?

Any suggestions appreciated. Planning on trying J.D.'s Shoe Repair (I've had good luck with them on some shoes and non-MX boots) but figured I'd ask.

Thanks, Patrick

Good luck on the resole. I have tried resoling from different places and have given up on it. NONE of them fit or worked good...

OK news, good news:

1. I ended up taking the boots to Hollywood Shoe Repair: HOLLYWOOD SHOE REPAIR | Home He was not interested in sewing on a new sole; the boots are were too tough to work with, compared to a typical shoe or boot. That said, he was willing to glue the sole on as a temp fix, and did a great job.

2. I called Fox and asked if I could order new soles and toe plates from them. They said the soles are not available (boots are too old) but they sent me a pair of toe plates FedEx, at no cost, including mount screws. Cool! The interaction with customer service was great, something you don't get too often these days.

I had a set of soles glued onto my Sidi Typhoons. No signs of separation or other bad behavior. Should allow them to go at least another 5 years.
