That's great! If OR could get it legalized, then maybe other states will "get it" (the benefits) and follow suite. Kudos to froidridingclub.

Just need to figure out away the state could make money off of it, then it would go through like hot cakes.

Rather than moving over a little to give us more room when they see us coming like they do now, the computer-controlled cars and trucks simply hold their lines and drive predictably as we pass safely between?

You don't have to do it. Many of us want to, traffic sucks and is getting worse, this would help.

Lane sharing and lane splitting same thing. It's during gridlock traffic. There's been different versions of the bill. You can look them up, or look up lane splitting in WA, and find several older articles on it.

Thanks Lena. I can't get on their page. Is it going to be the same format as the one 5-6 years ago that took place at the same venue with ODOT?

What?
By moron i mean all the people that after 20 years of driving cant manage
To make a right Turn on a red, have no idea what that amber blinking light is on the lower corner of a car and do 20 in a 40 while on the phone and are more than willing to inconvience you and everybody stuck behind them so they dont have to be inconvienced at all, to many people that dont have the grey matter to control a 5000lb projectile and there is no way im splitting lanes cause these MORONS are Going to take 20 years before they are checking the mirrors for motorcycles splitting lanes

People's attention while driving is only getting worse due to all the distractions placed in front of them and car manufacturers further underline that. Why should you pay attention to the road when your Camry will stop itself when it calculates that there is a hazard in your way, or pull itself back into your lane because you are too busy to pay attention. This message is practically part of nearly every Toyota commercial now days.

It's amazing really; a transition between actually driving and autonomous cars. Don't have to know how to parallel park, turn around to see where you are going when you back up, no need to shoulder check for lane changes, or remember to turn on your headlights. Won't be long before it's "Alexa, drive me to IKEA." And we will be poorer for the experience.

Im sure auto driving cars will have downsides but from my piont of view riding, at least there would ba a consistency to watchout for. I was lucky my dad started me on gokarts then shifter karts then formula ford so ive always taken pride in my driving, probably why i get so frustrated in the complete incompetence you see.
