- 5HP more
- at least 5MPG more (need more miles on it to get a better calculation/average over several rides)
- No more throttle wackiness and much less exhaust gurgling.
The final point is the best, IMO - it used to struggle a bit with very slight deceleration - let off the throttle hard and it behaves fine, but if you just barely roll off the throttle, it would stumble a bit. Really annoying in traffic. But it's all gone now - smooth response no matter what I'm doing.
Nels also mentioned he got another 5HP out of a different Street Triple once (for a total of 10HP over stock) but he couldn't remember if that bike had a full aftermarket exhaust system. I still have the stock header with cat, so that seems plausible. Not sure I really care, anyway - 5HP more + more efficiency is awesome enough.
Thanks again, Nels! I highly recommend anyone considering tuning their bike up to send their bike Nels' way.
if it was a skinny fella that was pat.
