Which reminds me of Nestucca. I never got past the reservoir? Wonder what it is like back there now. If they ever paved that like McClellan, that would be totally awesome.

the last report I got was Nestucca is paved all the way...

No idea. I don't like Hagg Lake... last time I rode there I left in a helicopter to OHSU. Came back from Afghanistan unscathed, but became a casualty of Oregon lol

Nestucca paved; more's the pity. That section was barely three miles and I saw everything from sport bikes to dressers navigate it with no troubles. As for helicopters, we share that circumstance. Let's not repeat it m'kay?

By the way, speaking of Nestucca and the days when the old crowd rode there, does anyone know where HawnduhV65 (Dean) disappeared to?

No trips to Fossil this weekend, according to the forecast.

Fox 12 Chief Meteorologist:

I bet there were a lot of spills there. You just never saw them. I almost went down on my FZ1, and that is an upright naked and I have years of dirt experience. I was trying to avoid a bad rut and got in the deep, loose shoulder gravel and almost low sided.

As for Dean, I think he returned to Portland not too long ago and made inquiries of who was still riding from the old group. That is the last I heard.

Well I got the word the other day, new job starts at the end of March in Maryland. Anyone wants to go for a cold and rainy ride, let me know.

Sure. It would be great to see you. Little Tail of the Dragon got repaved a couple of years ago, you'd probably enjoy it.

Feeling a bit "Jeally" right now. Would have loved to get out on "two" today, especially a nice run down (and mayhap backup) HWY 47.

Unfortunately, Health issues (fortunately not COVID related), are keeping me off the bike for awhile.
