Question Anyone here ride an Aprilia Shiver?

This afternoon on the way to work I saw a beautiful newer Aprilia red Shiver. Just wondering if any of you ride it and how do you like it. I've been eyeballing those and the Dorsoduro for many moons now.

Moto Guzzi Portland became an Aprilia dealer a little bit ago. Even though they are just about to move, or have started to, I'd venture up there and see if they have a demo or two for you to take out.

I considered the Shiver before ending up with my Triumph - just couldn't get past the long waits for parts and high maintenance costs.

Absolutely beautiful machine, though - maybe some day I'll own one.. The Dorsoduro is also calling to me...

Damn you, motorcycles.

Quite honestly so far I've not found any difference in waiting for parts between my Aprilia and my old Triumph. Pretty much have to order everything is what it boils down to. But again, I had to do the same thing with my Kawasaki's. No dealership in the area has parts stocked for nearly anything, but basic maintenance.

I knew they were an Aprilia dealer but didn't know they were moving. Actually, I saw this bike on I-205 in that neighborhood. I was kinda wondering if the guy was doing a test ride but it had regular OR plates.

Like DGA said, no one carries parts anymore so everything has to be ordered nowadays. Several years ago I went into local Kawasaki dealer for a simple KLR part. "Nope, but we can order that for you." Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. That's when I began realizing that I should check out Euro bikes depite the "parts are hard to get/expensive/break down more often" myth. Owning my Husqvarna solidified it was a myth.

Talked to one guy that stopped by with his new Tuono and had it's first service done there. Great folks by the sound of it, they let him hang out and ask the mechanic questions while he performed the service on the bike. The technician is a V4 Tuono owner as well. Type of a place that will go up to bat for customers on warranty stuff.

They are moving just a few blocks South, right on Sandy across the street from Parkrose hardware, in the old German Bakery location. This place is going to be cool.
