6th Annual Girls Rideout Portland Tour

Come on out and say hi, and take a ride for International Female Ride Day!!

Always the first ladies ride of the year: The Portland Tour, Girls Ride Out ride is back for its 6th year.

Bring any and all girls you know! Whether they ride, want to ride, or ride two up!

This ride is meant to be a meet and greet with some beautiful scenery mixed in.

Ashfoot usually heads up this annual ride, but she's on a temporary hiatus, so I'll be leading the group this year. New route this year to better accommodate the group size

The ride starts out at the Cornelius Pass Chevron and we'll make our way to Hagg Lake and Bald Peak (with a stop there), then on to Avaís at Progress Ridge Townsquare. There are also several other places to eat. Once there we can hang out and get to know each other a bit more and the guys are invited to meet up at the end! Many choose to do other rides when we finish.

Meet: Chevron on Cornelius Pass - 21755 NW Imbrie Dr, Hillsboro, OR 97124 (right off 26)
Time: Saturday May 6th 10:00, KSU at 10:30 (End at Ava's Roasteria) **Weather Permitting** (secondary date May 20th)
Where: From Hillsboro to Beaverton (Progress Ridge Townsquare) https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19864962
Who: Just the girls this time!
Why: Because it's the first ladies ride of the year and International Female Ride Day!
Pace: Obeying the limits

Last year was our largest turn out! Letís hit it bigger this year as May 6th is International Female Ride Day!

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!

Finally healthy enough to ride again and I'll miss this due to visiting my Dad.
I've got a lot of "lost time" to make up for the past 32 months and this would've been a nice way to start out the spring.

Well, hopefully there will be a weekend riding get-together again this summer.

Have fun!

Dayum...how many bikes does Quicklimegirl have? Must be noice...

How come the dudes aint organizing a ride like this? I'm kinda jealous. No one down in good ol' PDX organizes shit anymore (save for Lee), yeah, I know, stop bitching and organize my own ride...I have a funky night job with funky night job hours and I doubt if anyone can ride at noon time...except for Lee...he's independently wealthy, ya know. Anyway, good on the ladies for organizing and sharing the love...rubber side down ladies...

Very glad to hear that you're all healed up. Enjoy your time with your dad, there are plenty of days to go riding. The Ladies Weekend is happening again this year (7th Annual now!) - you should have an invite through the group on FB, they were sent out last weekend.

Thanks for the support craiger! It's been a pretty great event each year. I'm sure more rides will start popping up soon, it's been pretty consistently wet for trying to get anything going with much notice.

Too many guys on a ride turns into a sausage stew in testosterone sauce...somebody will crash.

Except when it comes time to license, insure & rebuild all those bikes! Both RZs need new top & bottom ends (>35K on each), the RD400 needs a new top end, and the Z1000, who knows how long it'll last, with 112,000 on the clock, although it still runs good.

A couple of RDs aren't together and/or running, same as the X6. Someday it'd be cool to have 'em all together & running at the same time....

So you're just showing off then? , not that I have a problem with that..if ya got it, flaunt it, baby! S'all good, just givin ya some grief. Having 2 bikes myself, the cost does add up..2 works for me. Any more and I'd need a bigger toy box. Take care out there..

My Daughter will be there, she will be on a white Ninja 300.
I rode Hagg Lake and Bald Peak last Saturday. Around Hagg the road was nice other than two dirt roads that intersect on Scoggins Valley Rd there was some small rock and gravel. Bald Peak Road was clean but there is gravel when you turn in at the park.

Have fun!

Thanks for the heads up and looking out for us. Everything looked pretty good when I did a route check two weeks ago

While the weather didn't fully cooperate, it wasn't too bad. Had a bit of a shower while going around Hagg Lake, and some sprinkles on the way home, but otherwise decently dry with some nice patches of warming sunshine. The iffy weather, and 2 or 3 other established group rides going on kept the group size smaller this year, with 12 attending - which worked out well. Ashfoot met up with us at Bald Peak, and her hubs brought both kiddos in tow. Timing worked just perfectly, and she was able to join us for the short jaunt from the peak down to lunch.

Traffic was light, roads were clear of debris, and only some potholes to deal with coming down from Bald Peak. Great day, great riding, and great company...as always

Thanks for coming out ladies, and keeping this going each year!! It was great to see you all again, and meet some new faces as well. Take care, and have a great riding season!

Delayed response, I know...

I'm so glad I got to meet up with you gals! It was literally the day of and an hour before KSU that Warren asked if I wanted to meet up with you girls. My response, "Heck ya I'd love to!"

I owe it to him that he made it possible as he had to take care of both kids while I was riding!
