This Wednesday, August 28, 2019 will be our 4th Annual Vadim Memorial Wednesday Ride.

The meet spot and time is the same as the regular Wednesday Ride, details here: Wednesday Westside Standing Ride 2019 (June-Sept)

As many of you know, Vadim was killed on the Wednesday Ride 4 years ago, on August 26, 2015, when he went of a corner on lower Timber Road and fell down a ravine.

We will be stopping at the cross that marks where Vadim went off the road. All riders are welcome to come and pay their respects for a fallen rider. The ride will then stop in Vernonia and then return to Portland.

In that last photo, can drivers approaching from the right side of the picture see that there are riders stopped well before they get there?

I'd suggest bringing along a reflective warning triangle and putting it out a hundred or so yards before the site on that side of the road.

Apologies if you've covered this. I may try to get there and give my respects but my wednesday schedule doesn't easily support my being on that side.
