Toyota Prius???

Iím a contractor so I drive a lot around town so I see it all the time, to much to be coincidence so what the F is wrong with Prius drivers, do they suck half your brains out when you buy one or what?

Almost got killed twice by them on my way to cycle gear! Twice I had to take evasive maneuvers in the wet, one made a right turn directly into me was inches close! One swerved into me on the freeway and I had to emergency lane it

Why donít Prius drivers just ride the bus to save the environment.

JoeSzup Dec 22nd 2017 02:22 PM

And they seem to think that they need to camp in the far left lane. I effin' HATE prius drivers

1shinysideup Dec 22nd 2017 02:50 PM

only thing I can think of, there's no engine noise so they're unsure of how slow they're going...

bumped the back of a Prius going 2.7 mph while he was at a complete stop (heavy traffic), he sued me civilly for $90,000.00 for pain and suffering, went to a jury trial for 5 days, true story. Not a fan of the Prius..

You got sued for $90,000 for pain and suffering when you rear ended a Prius? I doubt you damaged the fork seals on your motorcycle let alone the 5 MPH bumper on the Prius. However in our mass hysteria society we live in today. I know you telling the truth

Here my stupid Prius story. I'm sure we all have at least one.

While on 1st ave South near S 156th st in Burien a Prius pulled out of a fast food restaurant parking lot right in front of me. I had to put my car into a heaving braking situation to avoid a t-bone collision. Of course the smug-mobile driver yelled at me every f-bomb in the book for blowing my own horn, on my car that is. Yes, we all know that Ford made the Focus an invisible car.

Just about every Prius I come across either drive like bats out of hell ("I've getting 55mpg, so I can speed like crazy and still save the environment, so fuck you!") or drive like they're hypermiling and trying to get 100mpg.

WarpShatner7 Dec 23rd 2017 03:20 PM

Based on my observations...

Car most likely to wait until you're right on top of them to pull out in front of you from a parking space, lot or side street, even though there's no one behind you: Prius.
Car most likely to be drifting along at 40mph in the fast lane of the freeway while everyone passes them on the right: Prius.

However...

Car most likely to run a red light: Audi
Car most likely try to cut you off when they see you're trying to pass: Audi
Car most likely to have a massive inferiority attack when passed by a motorcycle and try to chase you for miles: Audi
Car most likely to be slaloming through traffic and tailgating out of some desperate need of doing a net 1.2mph faster than everybody else: Audi.
Car most likely to race from one red light to the next so that when it turns green they'll be blocking it for everybody else who's doing the synchronized speed: Audi. (Though lowered rice-sleds with fartcans rate high on this scale too.)
Car most likely to blow through a crosswalk right in front of a pedestrian's kneecaps: Audi.

All told I'll take the Prius.

The car most likely to.....

The motorcycle most likely to...

Confirmation bias.

Who 55 mpg🖕And if every Prius driver you come across drives like a bat out of hell ( lol) then you my friend are part of ďThe problemĒ

chadams66 Dec 23rd 2017 06:39 PM

hate them hate them hate them...they are by far the worst of the left lane bandits...

liberpolly Dec 23rd 2017 07:02 PM

The worst part is that they do all this stupid shit with the best intentions. The other day I observed a Prius driver in the left lane slightly ahead of me picking the phone, so I instinctively slowed down. Lo and behold, it looked like the moron decided to be a good citizen and pulled over to the right to finish the call. The problem is that she has done it without looking, being absorbed by the call, so she did it suddenly, across my lane and into the right turn lane. So she would've killed me if I didn't slow down, and now was impeding the traffic trying to turn right. All that, utterly oblivious.

Just a proper amount of ideologically correct bumper stickers, though.

This brings the eternal dilemma - which is worse, malice of stupidity? I submit that stupidity (Priuses) is worse than malice (coal trucks), because malice is limited, and there's a chance it can be reasoned with.

Have you ever tried to reason with a Prius driver that driving slow in the left lane and causing other cars to accelerate around you is worse for the environment than can be offset by whatever mileage savings they can claim?

Go ahead, let us know. I have, so I know how that one goes.

1 Those coal trucks are getting almost double the mileage of gas trucks

2 the 10-12 mpg a Prius get over a standard gas Camry IMO isnít worth raping the environment for its lithium battery

If you mean diesel, they don't need to "burn coal" for that. It's just pure, unmitigated evil.
