Anyone riding in Olympia?

I joined hoping that this would be a place to get together with riders from around Oly, but I have yet to see a post here since I started. Is anyone in Oly still using this site?

I have followed the site for a minute but have not seen any rides put together, for the most part hoping since summer is coming something pops up.

Try posting more yourself. Set up a meet at the RAM or let it be known that you're taking a ride down into Grays Harbor. I might be convinced to ditch work early during the week and head South. I'll be out of town all next week though.

Ride? - Meet?

I too would like to see more rides with folks from the Tumwater-Olympia-Centralia area.

I work during the week and have a 10 year-old at home - so weekends is my only option - However it would be nice to schedule a regular meet, which I could coordinate.

We could get something going in July and would like some clever ideas about locations. Food is always good but sports bars or any watering holes are a problem waiting to happen. Booze and bikes or guns should never mix.

Mostly ride retro iron 1981 vintage, today will be the Suzuki GS850G.
I will be riding Sunday morning into mid afternoon - then I have to pick up the kid from the grandparents.

Any one interested in either????

I have only seen one meet up in the Oly area since I've been on here, but would like to see more as well. I would be down for any social gathering that involves 2 wheels. I am planning on riding up to the XXX burger bikes & babes show on July 9th. Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in
Was planning on riding solo, but if anyone is interested in accompanying me I would be willing to meet up. I will be leaving from the Lacey area.

I would be down for this. I do have something else right now but I think I could rearrange some events. I like the 23rd as well. Where you looking to make your start point?

Well I am heading out from the Lacey area, so somewhere like the parking lot of hawks prairie restaurant would be a good meet up spot for me. I haven't really planned out which path I will take there. The most direct would be i5 to i90 to Issaquah. However, that might be a little boring for a group ride. I was originally thinking of just cannon balling it up there early to check out the show, then find some twisties on my way back but I'm
open for whatever. I will check out some maps today and see if there is something that will be a little more inspiring. I am also open to suggestions. Ultimately, I would like to get a reasonably early start, but I'm fine with taking a slightly longer route in the name of fun. Just throw me your thoughts.

So I originally planned to cannonball it up i5 to i90 to Issaquah to check out the show and then find some twisties on the way back. But I realise that doesn't make for much fun on a group ride so I'm open to suggestions. I will look over some maps and see if I can find a more spirited route there. I will be leaving from the Lacey area, so someplace like hawks prairie restaurant would work well for me as a meet up spot. I would also like to get a reasonably early start in case people want to make use of the second half of their day, but I also don't have anything set in stone so I'm down for whatever. Just throw me your thoughts or ideas and we can plan something out.

There's not a lot routes to pick from, but the longest route is just over two hours and has no major HWYs. The other routes have HWYs and take up to 1.5 hours. If we meet at 900 we can be done around 3:30. I have no real preference. Both the mapped routes start at hawks prairie.

Getting people in your area to go on rides is kind of like running a cam-girl site- If you post it, they will come. You might even get some requests to do special activities or visit new places, too.

So the Lakewood, Puyallup, Buckley to Issaquah route looks fine to me. I'm good with meeting up at 9am at the hawks restaurant parking lot. Just let me know if that works for you as well. Looks like it will probably just be us two, but if any of you other Oly riders out there want to join us, you're more than welcome.

9:00 a.m. works for me, we can head up to Buckley to Issaquah haven't been that way. Figure a cup of coffee in the morning, burger at Issaquah, then head back after checking out the sites. If we hit Puyallup early for the return I might stop, at the dog show, but most likely I'll miss what I want to see. SEE YA!

I will be trying to head back to XXX burger in Issaquah on the 23rd of July. That place was great. Route on the way back was nicer than the way there, what a difference catching a few green lights make. I may change to a HWY free route next time only adds 30 minutes or so. We'll see.
