Hello! My name is Jess. My family and I are moving to Bonney Lake (probably) in early April. Leaving Indianapolis. I’m really pumped to join the local off-road community. I’m currently on a 2014 KLX250 (351) w/ a pumper carb. I’ll probably have to revisit my jet sizes but otherwise I think the bike is up for it. I look forward to meeting up with all of you!

Actually, the elevation of Bonney Lake is less than that of Indy, so your jetting might not be that off, unless you head up into the Cascades towards the crest or go over to the east side of the mountains.

Is the bike still street legal, and is it plated?

Yeah I’m unsure if a jetting change he will be necessary or not. I feel like it’s a tad lean out here in Indy at 600-700ft. I’ll definitely feel that out when I get moved in.
And yes it’s fully street legal and plated however with my engine, carb, and exhaust mods I wonder if I’ll have issues getting it plated in WA. In the Midwest nobody cares.

you might want to check out SmartCarb or Lectron carbs for climbing around the mountains out here...they're advertised as self adjusting for altitude...

I am pretty sure running ethanol or non ethanol fuel will have a more noticeable difference than the elevation change you are talking about. Don’t know what your humidity is like but it is fairly high here. That would make a difference as well. For sure run it first and see.
On the licensing, if it was a street legal bike, put the stuff on it and make sure it works. Probably be Ok even if you need to get it inspected.
