  2017 FJR and 2017 DR650
Hello From Spokane

I have been riding for just over 50 years so that makes me an old guy.

Presently I am riding a '17 FJR and a DR650. I use the DR for playing around on gravel roads in Idaho.

I also have a 09 FJR and soon it will be for sale.

Joined this forum to meet with fellow riders.

Welcome Spocakorana Jim.

Once this issue with 'Capt. Tripps' gets settled down you may find more action on this forum. It was pretty epic back 10 years ago when it got rolling, tons of meet ups and cool posts. Then some form of hostile takeover occurred and it changed names and dissolved into spam and advertising obscurity, but then the originator regrouped and it is here with a lot of the original cast of characters, though much more subdued. Some say other social media has replaced many of the forums functionality, others claim riders are just sick of interwebz drama, and yet still others blame aliens!

I plan on doing some social distancing into the lovely Palouse region, then up around Chewelah, and if the Oregon borders stay open there roads around John Day call me back every year. Sounds like you have a good pair of steeds to enjoy a variety! If ever around moses lake give me a holla, I'm an old guy too.

Welcome Spokane Jim. Good to see another experienced (not old) guy is still out there enjoying the sport. Zxtasy, I rode through Moses Lake yesterday, man the wind was nuts, dodging tumbleweeds the whole day! 17 between soap lake and Hwy 2 make the trip worth it though. No traffic and the dry falls area is beautiful this time of year.

A2B, you are nutz! I rode my TW200 about 5 miles to the store and back in that wind yesterday, was fun for sure, either sucking the intake or blowing the exhaust back in...

Give a shout out if you come through again and want to grab coffee...distantly of course.

Welcome, and like ZXtazy said, it "used" to be a pretty hopping forum, well, the old forum. But hopefully we all will get out and ride more since we have more time on our hands, for a lot of us.

I'm quite a ways from you, and I haven't made it into your part of the country in a few years, but you never know......

Happy trails....

That sounds marvelous once this is all over! The question would be, would this be a 1 day'er, have lunch with SpokaneJim, or a 2 day'er and have dinner with SpokaneJime........

Probably make it a two day affair so that we can get the eastern side of the state to join in on a big East meets West dinner. Who knows, maybe we can even get the world famous JohnnyM to come.

So I posted a reply and the website say a moderator has to approve the thread. Why does that message appear? Do I have to post x number of post to be a member in good standing?

This is a test. I posted the two sentences above immediately. The reply I mentioned above was much longer. So is there a limit on post length?

Jim, there is no post limit that I know of, and as digitally loquacious as I can be I would have hit that wall many times. Maybe it was an internet burp.
