I started riding when I bought my used '87 FZ600 on a whim and after a dozen bikes over a couple of decades I thought I had exhausted myself. I sold my Buell 1125CR and then I blinked and five years passed. I'm now a husband, a father and a step-dad. My wife watched my gaze follow every motorcycle that passed by and eventually stomped her foot and insisted that I get back on the horse. OK, my love. I picked up a 2009 CBR1000RR in Seattle the other day. 5k on the odo and it still has the nubs on the tires. I am one happy camper... now I need to ride! edit: the photo was portrait mode on my phone and computer, thanks pnwmoto for "correcting" it for me. Hey all. Thanks for the greetings and photo editing. I look forward to riding with some of you sometime. Ha! I had to Google "dank nooner" like a dork. Nearly 20 years ago I was attempting to stunt on my '99 R6 and I looped it in 1st gear. It was in front of friends in a parking lot... but I have no memory. A concussion was my reward and I lost all memory of that entire day, from beginning to end. I decided that maybe it wasn't any fun to be good at stunting and I should just ride safely within my capabilities. I've never regretted that decision. |
