I hope you have seen the ICON motorcycle drift vids? I think there are at least four?

Doesn't work like that. The Piaggio didn't either. They WILL fall over without the stand, or in the case of the Piaggio, lock the front steering when stopped. The Piaggio rode 'pretty much' like a regular motorcycle.

The real question is - will you wave at them?

I think I actually prefer their leaning 4-wheeled concept from 2007.

This would also be interesting under hard braking.

Seems like the rear end would wash out before the front, and would be the limiting factor in a turn. I bet it gets interesting when that rear tire swings around and you're doing a full-lock turn-in with the handlebars turned all the way right while the bike turns left like a rear wheel drive car.

You could ride it around a turn with the rear wheel spinning - drift it in.
Oh chit, now Pete is going to have to get one.

In 50 years motorcycles will have 5 wheels and dogs will fly.

Sounds like potentially more lobbying power to me. Self balancing two wheels like that Honda concept or the various three wheel bikes might bring new blood into the market. Sure, it'll be minimal (we'll probably need to see $10 +/- a gallon gas to see a decent increase), but more people on motorcycles the better, in my opinion.

And yes, I'd totally wave to them!
