Rode my 650 Burgman out of town to eat lunch with riding buddy. Had half order of a chef salad then rode back home.

It's January in Idaho. I will take what I can get.

So I went out to the garage, and got a HealTech GI gear indicator hooked up over the weekend.

This post will just be an image dump so you can see the kind of project I'm dealing with.

So the work I did "Today" was actually over the weekend. I had time to put the front end back together so it can finally roll again and I even had the time to remove the valve cover for valve clearance inspection. Sadly, I only had time to inspect cylinder one and the results weren't pretty. The intake is supposed to be .004"-.006" but there was no space for even the .0015" to slip in there so I'll call that zero clearance. The exhaust side was a little better but still out of tolerance. Supposed to be .006"-.008" but instead, it was at .003".

Next weekend will be spent doing valves. Thank goodness they're tappet adjustments.

Well so far I only tested it on a stand in the garage, and it only takes 1/4 sec or so to register. Nice, and bright also. Pretty happy with it. Plus you can't beat plug, and play!

  1995 Suzuki Katana
Rode half of the way home in traffic with no clutch cable...snap.

A project for another day, tomorrow if I can find one local. Anyone know of someone in the greater Puget Sound area that might have a clutch cable for a 1988-1997 Suzuki GSX600F in stock? I'd guess any year Katana clutch cable would work.

Local dealer can get one for me on Thursday, probably the best I can do.

I'd say me since my brother has an 05 sitting in the shed (no title, engine blown) but I don't want to speak for parts that aren't mine.
