Jan 2016 Salem, Oregon Cbr600rr and cbr1000rr | ![]() https://youtu.be/6qlY5pcdFys We think the reason he went down was the lack of trail braking. Unloaded suspension giving the front end less traction. What do ya'll think? |

What lap of the session was it? I didn't notice the brake lever moving at all, before tipping in. |

Was this Monday the 27th? I thought I recognized your bike out there, I came up on you in the carousel on my white and red Daytona. That would be dope if you had that footage!

Maybe the front tire didn't have the load or the heat to coast thru 8a on the 3rd lap, like you stated...seems a bike like that might behave better in that situation. What tires n pressure was he running? I know nothing really, just speculating, but if he's wasn't asking much of the tires the laps prior, maybe they weren't up to temp. |

One of the things that Ken Hill and others teach is lighter and longer on the brakes. Even if Andrew is sorta coasting into the corner, its always smart to practice the same techniques all the time. Also, he needs to focus on one brake lever action per turn. In 6 he gets off the brakes way way way too early (40 second mark in video), and then potentially back on them. When you enter the corner you need to load the front tire, build pressure as you scrub off speed, ease pressure as you start and continue to add lean angle. You can damn near trail brake to the first apex cones in the Carousel. |
