I think this takes the cake for the coolest CBX1000 https://www.gearheads.org/larry-houg...honda-cbx1000/ Edited by Thumperpilot on Feb 13th 2016 at 12:22 AM Reason: My phone posts broken links and I constantly have to edit them. |

Clearly a lot of work by a talented builder. The "stealth fighter bike" look has never been my cup of tea, but many will love it I'm sure. I see an incredibly detailed hand built custom bike that utilizes a CBX engine and carbs. I would not call it a CBX however. |

Give me that engine and the exhaust, you can keep the rest. I'll take it now before using that engine as a stressed member cracks the case. Although the odds of that bike being ridden much is actually pretty low.

The distance from the center of the swingarm pivot to the center of the countershaft seems to be a fair distance on this bike. And the design has the swingarm angled quite a bit below horizontal when static. So that means the chain would "tighten up" a lot as the suspension compresses. But yah. It looks a little too loose even considering all that. |

Looks like a Honda Hawk swingarm. For some reason they're supposed to be on the loose side.

Maybe he needs an AMP Research Torque Eliminator for that chain. You could dress it up in some carbon fiber fiddly-bits.

I will say that the exhaust is perfect, and the CBX is the best sounding inline engine ever put into a bike |
