Self-balancing motorcycle in 2017?

It's hard to know what is next in motorcycle technology... This isn't auto-steering, but it is new and innovative and is a gyroscope enabled electric motorcycle called GyroCycle.
Check it out here!
Love it or hate it?

How will it lean into turns?

I would assume that it would counter the shift in weight by leaning into the turn as the rider corners.

It seems like they have solved a problem that does not exist. Just put larger wheels on it and voila, you have TWO gyroscopes that stabilise the bike. That system has worked for over 100 years.

Dont go too big on tires. the batbike had issues cornering. you may need a grappling system to take tight corners and good luck draggin a knee.

Looking at that front end, I wouldn't expect too much of a lean angle.

  ?

Yep! Someone put car tires on a scooter.

Far be it for me to say this won't work. I'm sure "one upon a time in Hawaii", the folks were laughing their asses off, as the village idiot took a board out to play in the big surf; and that turned out OK.

I can balance fine on my bike (most of the time ), so I don't see the need? Also, it looks from the tire profile that it doesn't lean over much, if any?!

I would rather have a self balancing two wheeled car that is completely enclosed for the winter months! Like the Lit Motors C-1, which does lean and has a stereo and a heater!

Gyroscopes prevent leaning - that's their whole point.

Good point. So how will it turn? Like a ...(gasp) car?

Here i go assuming again. The gyroscopes help prevent falling while stopped or preventing the bike from going over too far while in a corner. If the bike had no lean while turning, the rider might be thrown or the bike just topple over. Damn physics.

Try having someone take a vid of you cornering reallllllly slow with no lean. Talkin 1st gear here. Then speed up that vid and that is how dumb you will look cornering at higher speeds on the gyro-bike if there were to be no lean at all. Reminds me of the british comedy chase scenes they speed up and add funky music too.

Might actually be useful tech for streamlined land speed bikes. Apparently they are very difficult to keep upright until they get up to speed.
