Riding my bike! I finally got a new camera

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd share a short video introducing my new camera.

Camera: Drift Ghost S

Main reasons: mic-in jack, video tagging feature, rotating lens, waterproof without a case, remote control included!

I know that the camera has been out for a couple of years now, but it's still pretty decent at 1080p 60FPS, can record up to 240 FPS I think in lower resolutions.

Anyway, I hope to start uploading videos more regularly now. Next video will be discussion of the recent ban on banana eating (yes, China banned eating bananas, with a catch)

They are a very suggestive fruit.

Netizens were quick to point out that cucumber eating has yet to be banned.

Is it your camera setting or is that city really bleak? It is like a Clockwork Orange gray.

It's just really bleak. Pretty much everything is coated in gray dust from the smog. And today's air quality was very poor...

It looks like you have adapted to the local style of riding very well.

It's a delicate balance of "me first!" and "oh shit, that was close." And no cops.

At first I was, "Hey, get out a the fuckin' bike lane." Then I realized it is basically a free-for-all and you have about the best vehicle to get around rapidly. Funny you carry on a conversation while everything around you is fubar.

I wish the "progressives" in Oregon would stop being so oppressive and allow lane splitting.

Unfortunately, Beijing probably has a better chance of getting the "Banana Ban" lifted before that happens.

We've been holed up inside for about five days now. All the windows are closed. Groceries are delivered (we've always had groceries delivered, nothing new here, but it's nice not to have to go out these days).

(yes, they even deliver beer).

A fan and a HEPA filter to filter out the PM2.5 inside the apartment. (I have two in my apartment, actually)

I took three days off from work, but I had to go into the office this afternoon for a couple of hours. This is what it looks like outside:

I've actually seen worse. But what makes this episode of smog so bad is that it has been persistently above 400 AQI (air quality index) for the last four days. Some days are simply "Beyond Index," which essentially means that we've given up all hope by this point and having scale of air quality no longer matters.

I noticed that traffic has been reduced drastically, as Beijing has temporarily banned most cars from driving, but I believe this is more a theatrical move on Beijing's part as cars only account for maybe 15% of the air pollution. What really does it is coal power, coal heating and all the factories manufacturing all the cheap shit that people all over the world love to buy.

So, the next time you folks zip up your made-in-China Cycle Gear branded cheap winter jacket and snap that little plastic snap on your Bilt helmet, give thanks to the smog gods and subscribe to my YouTube channel at the same fucking time!
