Portland International Raceway OMRRA Track Day April 9th

Trackdays are even easier to sign up for with our new online system - no more excuses! The first track day is Saturday April 9th - it's time to sign up!

This track day is sponsored by OMRRA and its only $100. This is our season opener so pit with all the racers, purchase tires, stop by and get your suspension set. This is a unique opportunity to come see some great races and ride a fast, fun track.

This is a great thing. That weekend might be bust for me, but I'm going to take advantage of this throughout the season.

Do you guys have any suspension service on site? I'd bring my forks or bike down one weekend to have them revalved and resprung on site.

What's the format like? Is it the typical beginner, intermediate, advanced?

I'm not affiliated with OMRRA, just a track junky and sometimes corner worker when I have the whole weekend to blow.

KFG is usually trackside for OMRRA events I don't know if Barry would be willing to do a non-emergency rebuild on a race weekend, though. He keeps pretty busy helping the racers with their setups. But you can always call and ask ahead of time.

Dunlop and Pirelli usually have tires and guys who know a lot about them. Maybe Bridgestone as well? I know there's a third, but I forget which.

Last year, OMRRA's track day sessions were slotted into their practice/race schedule. There's a cool factor to that, being treated like one of the big boys on a race weekend. As a bonus, that means race-level staffing of the corners for the paranoid and/or accident prone. Basically one group, fast/intermediate level. No racers out for extra practice time, but not the place for track newbies either. I want to say it was 4 sessions. About half as many as a typical track day, but about half the cost too. Also, from what I saw last year, it tends to be a lot less crowded than a typical track day session if you like having open space
